Common Materials
1100 ALUMINUM SHEET
This grade is commercially pure aluminum. It is soft and ductile and has
excellent workability. It is ideal for applications involving intricate
forming because it work-hardens more slowly than other alloys. It is the
most weldable of aluminum alloys, by any method. It is not heat treatable.
It has the highest thermal conductivity of any aluminum alloy, and its
electrical conductivity is second only to the electrical conductor grade.
